Let’s get Ready.
Hello beautiful! Here is a preview of part of the paperwork that all clients read through, fill out, and sign before each appointment. For your convenience, we offer forms in advance so that all clients have the opportunity to review our recommendations and requirements and to ensure that they are in the best health to get any permanent makeup service done. Your health as a client is our number one priority. When in doubt, please check with your doctor beforehand to see if there’s anything that you should be aware of related to your personal health. If you are currently dealing with any of the circumstances listed below (or other things that could disallow you from getting your brows, eyes, and/or lips done) Lorena Soto Makeup requires a doctor’s note explaining your circumstance and providing approval for an exception to be made in order to get microbladed/tattooed on the face.
Before Your Appointment:
Now that you’ve booked your permanent makeup appointment, there are a few things you should make sure you know before we get started. Before your appointment, please be sure to avoid all blood thinners, alcohol, ibuprofen, and any other pain relievers 24-48 hours before your appointment. Consuming caffeine on the day of or the day before the procedure may increase discomfort levels and blood flow, so we suggest avoiding this as well.
It is also advised to avoid heavy exercise 24 hours prior and 10-14 days following your procedure. Those on their menstrual cycle may experience greater sensitivity. We do not permit any type of sun tanning for 72 hours before your appointment and be advised that you cannot expose the area to the sun for 30 days before or after the procedure.
Please avoid tinting or waxing in the area of tattooing. Remove all lash extensions and take out any contact lenses before receiving your eyeliner tattoo. To prepare for lip tattooing, gently exfoliate and make sure to continuously hydrate before, during, and after your appointment. Finally, make sure to get ahead on any dirty work before your appointment – this means no dusting, lawn mowing, changing the cat litter, or any chores that could expose the affected area to dirt or bacteria during the healing process.

To provide all of my clients with great service and the best experience, my policies are as follows:
CLIENT-ONLY IN THE PROCEDURE ROOM:
Due to COVID, no one can accompany you to your appointment. I have to limit the amount of traffic coming through both studios that I rent, plus it is important that I, the artist, can have my full focus on you, the client. Friends and family tend to be a distraction for both the client and the artist. The only exception to this is if the client needs assistance with English translation and communication.
PETS AND ANIMAL FAMILY MEMBERS:
I absolutely love animals of all kinds, but pets are not allowed in the salon unless it is a registered service animal. There are no exceptions.
TARDINESS/CANCELLATION POLICY:
Micro-pigmentation is a time-intensive service. In booking your permanent makeup, I am reserving a designated amount of time specifically for you. You may always reschedule or cancel your appointment up to 48 hours beforehand if needed. Rescheduling or cancelling your permanent makeup appointment less than 48 hours before your appointment will result in a charge of at least $100. If you are going to be late, please contact Lorena Soto Makeup immediately. We understand that sometimes there are circumstances out of our control, but please be aware that there is an allotted amount of time for each service and we prioritze the quality of our work, so these changes may require the need to cancel or adjust your permanent makeup appointment.
